Samson utilizes a broad set of unique domestic and international experience to resolve the legal issues faced by our clients.
Samson gained significant domestic and international trial experience as a lawyer in the United States Marine Corps, serving as a member of the Marine Corps’ Complex Trial Team and as the lead prosecutor for an office of ten attorneys charged with prosecuting criminal cases that occurred aboard the largest Marine Corps base on the East Coast. Samson added to this litigation experience as a civilian attorney defending all manner of commercial claims throughout the Metro-Atlanta area. Samson leverages his litigation background to advise clients on commercial endeavors and associated risks involved.
Additionally, Samson gained unique international experience as a staff judge advocate, serving as the sole legal advisor to a commanding general and his principal staff on matters such as the application of international agreements, the law of armed conflict, government ethics regulations, and military fiscal law. In addition to his juris doctor and his undergraduate degree in Spanish and International Relations, Samson earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from The U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Legal Center and School (TJAGLCS) in Charlottesville, Virginia and attended the NATO Operational Law Course at the NATO School in Oberammergau, Germany. Whether negotiating the terms of an agreement with foreign legal representatives or fine-tuning the details of one of our client’s export control compliance programs, Samson understands the innate challenges of doing business in the defense, national security, and international sectors. Samson draws on his twenty years’ experience in law, commerce, and security to offer prudent legal counsel and generate viable legal options for our clients.
Samson continues to serve proudly as an infantry officer in the Marine Corps Reserve. He is a veteran of the Iraq War and recently commanded a Marine Corps infantry battalion responsible for the safe resettlement of 8500 displaced Afghan peoples.
